Audio and Video Content

We use services from specialized third parties to enable the direct playback of digital audio and video content.

Spotify

We use the services of Spotify for embedding audio files and podcasts on our website. The audio streaming platform is responsible for the processing of personal data in this context:

Spotify AB, Birger Jarlsgatan 61, 113 56 Stockholm, Sweden.

When using the podcasts, we refer to the privacy policy of the respective provider from whom you retrieve the podcast. Our website uses a Spotify plugin to embed individual audio files, albums, or playlists from the platform on the website as a so-called iFrame, so that they can be played directly on our website. If you visit a subpage of our website where a Spotify plugin is embedded, a connection to the Spotify servers is established and the plugin is displayed within our website. This transmits to Spotify which website you have visited and which audio files you have played. Your IP address may also be transmitted to Spotify. If you play an embedded audio file, album, or playlist, this information is also transmitted to Spotify. If you are logged in as a Spotify user, Spotify assigns this data to your user account. If you do not want Spotify to be able to assign your visit to our pages to your Spotify user account, please log out of your Spotify user account. Further information on data protection at Spotify can be found  here.

By using the Spotify service, personal data may be transmitted to Spotify AB, Birger Jarlsgatan 61, 113 56 Stockholm, Sweden. Further information can be found in the Spotify privacy policy. Please note that your data may also be processed in the USA or other third countries.

YouTube

We use the services of YouTube for embedding videos on our website. The video and audio streaming platform is responsible for the processing of personal data in this context:

YouTube LLC (a subsidiary of Google LLC), 901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA.

When you start a YouTube video on our website, a connection to YouTube’s servers is established. The YouTube server is informed which of our pages you have visited. This information (including your IP address) may be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there. If you are logged into your YouTube account at the same time, you enable YouTube to directly associate your browsing behavior with your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account before visiting our website or before playing the video.

We use YouTube’s so-called extended data protection mode. According to YouTube, this mode means that YouTube does not store any data about you as a visitor to our website before you watch or play the video.

By using the service, personal data may be transmitted to YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Avenue, San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. Further information can be found in the  YouTube Terms of Service, the YouTube Privacy Policy and the Google Privacy Policy. Please note that your data may also be processed in the USA or other third countries.
