The contractual relationship between Rückenwind plus AG and patients is determined by

Unless otherwise stated in the GTC, the provisions of the Swiss Code of Obligations (CO) apply, in particular the provisions regarding agency contracts (Art. 394 et seq. CO).

Rückenwind plus unterstützt die patients with specialized nursing, care, consulting and treatment services. In doing so, the resources of the patients are considered and involved whenever possible. If necessary, services are adapted to changing circumstances by mutual agreement. The indication for a stay at Rückenwind plus for specialized temporary care with the necessary medical services is for people with paraplegia and paraplegia-like symptoms or neurological diseases such as Parkinson’s, Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Rückenwind plus assesses the care needs of every patient after admission. For the assessment of needs, the interRAI -HomeCare instrument is used. The patient acknowledges that the financial scope of nursing services is limited by health insurers and municipalities and that donated funds must be independently generated and used by Rückenwind plus subsidiarily for further care and support needs.

Rückenwind plus ensures precise care for its patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. It is entitled, in cases of unreasonableness, to seek discussion with the patient and, in the event of a lack of understanding, to terminate care. Professional or medical reasons, threats of violence, exercise of violence, gross insults, sexual harassment, lack of cooperation, and health risks to employees or fellow patients may be considered.

For Patients Without a Daily Flat Rate

In order for Rückenwind plus to provide precise care from the first day, it is necessary, that the patient brings the necessary nursing materials as well as medications for the first four days from home or from the previous treating institution.

During the stay at Rückenwind plus, the necessary nursing materials can be ordered; however, a doctor’s prescription and a subsequent ordering process are required first. Any incurred costs resulting from prescriptions ordered by the doctor are to be borne by the patient.

For Patients With a Daily Flat Rate

For patients using a daily flat rate, it is necessary to submit prescriptions to Rückenwind plus at least four days before their admission. This allows for the timely ordering of nursing materials and medications.

Rückenwind plus has some aids on site (e.g., shower wheelchairs, anti-decubitus mattresses); however, needs are clarified by telephone before admission so that the patient can bring their own aids if necessary. In individual cases, it may be necessary to rent additional aids. Accordingly, the nursing staff will clarify the rental costs, which are at the expense of the patient, in advance with the patient.

Rückenwind plus is liable for damage caused by its employees. For damage caused by patients, their own private liability insurance is responsible.

Rückenwind plus offers the free use of safes for valuables in the patient rooms. Rückenwind plus is not liable for damage caused by theft.

Rückenwind plus employees are prohibited from accepting gifts or claiming advantages for themselves or others offered to them in connection with their professional activities. Small courtesy gifts are excluded. All monetary gifts for nursing and hospitality staff go into the staff fund, the use of which is decided upon with consideration for the employees.

Rückenwind plus maintains a collaboration with Asana Hospital Leuggern, the Swiss Paraplegic Centre, and ParaHelp. The prices for the services of Rückenwind plus are based on the Spitex tariff list of the Canton of Aargau, except for patients with a daily flat rate.

As a basis for invoicing, employees record their work performance electronically on handheld devices.

Nursing services under the Health Insurance Act (KVG) are invoiced directly to the health insurance company. The patient receives a copy of the invoice. Patient contributions are invoiced directly to the patients.

Additional nursing expenses not covered by health insurance are covered by Rückenwind plus exclusively through external private or institutional donors.

From the fourth month onwards, there is a possibility that an individual flat fee will be incurred and invoiced to the patient. You will receive a corresponding notification at least two weeks in advance.

Invoicing takes place monthly with a payment period of 30 days.

Services under the Accident Insurance Act are invoiced to the insurance company or the insured person according to valid agreements. Any patient contribution may be charged directly to the patient depending on the accident insurance.

Hospitality services amount to a maximum of 165 CHF per day. For a surcharge, relatives can also eat and stay overnight here, subject to consultation and capacity.

All complaints and grievances from patients related to their stay at Rückenwind plus are accepted exclusively by the management . The management will endeavor to find an amicable solution, involving the Board of Directors if necessary.
